So, Why Am I Doing This?
Yes, I can sing. But I never thought I will on stage, alone and in front of the whole school! Well, maybe I’m getting ahead of myself. We (my friends and I) accompanied a certain friend this afternoon to list her name on the list of people auditioning for this year’s school play, Grease. We wanted her to really do it but she said that she’ll only do it if we audition as well. Hence, my name is there. On the list. Of people who can sing.
HELP
PS: I don’t have stage fright. I really just do not sing.

Lose yourself in the moment.

When I was younger I never had stage fright. But as I grew older I learned that I do not perform well in front of crowds. Ick. Erase your name, I guess? How did she manage to convince you, LOL? I would never audition!
Well good luck

I wish I could sing.
But seriously, you might like it, and it’ll be a whole new experience for you.

My music teacher heard me singing in what I like to refer to as a total fluke, and he convinced me to play the guitar and sing Anyone Else But You (or, as he calls it, “that Juno song”) for the spring concert. Yes. In front of my whole school plus parents. (And I can’t even play the guitar.
)
I backed out at the last minute.
You could always do that, but… it’s not very admirable. Just be upfront with whoever put your name on that list – he/she will appreciate it more than if you do what I did.

O_O
I can’t even walk up in front of the school during the Awards Ceremony without shaking.
Good Luck, though. I’m sure everyone will just laugh – not at you, but with you. Always happens at my school…

You’re a really nice friend.
Good luck!

Do it!
If not for yourself, for those people who can’t perform in front of their parents. =P
Good luck if you do go through with it!

For our senior spotlight show in choir…there were a whole bunch of new senior guys who couldn’t sing, yet people were clapping like crazy.
Hope that helps boost confidence if any. Good luck, and work hard for the tryouts. =]

Oh wow, I don’t know what else to tell you besides good luck….

Do it – it’s good for ya
.
Or, you know, at least do the audition.

Just relax. Vocalize and practice before your audition. Don’t forget your posture, and push your diaphragm when you sing. Never sing by the throat! You can also do a bit of cardio to help control your breathing. No sweets and room temperature water only to keep your voice in top condition.
Ahaha, good luck to you! I miss singing so much.

I had to sing a solo in a school play when I was 11. I was bricking it. I don’t do singing, so it was nerve-racking. I really wanted the part though, so I had to sing. I just did it, I was nervous as heck but just went for it.

Oh wow. All I can say is good luck!

Just do your best and try! Some people say that it is better to also practice singing at home and record it. Alter your singing until it’s perfect too. Something along those lines
As for me, I won’t care and then freak out on the final day!
