Sleepless for 36 Hours

Posted at May 21, 2008 3:42 pm

There are a few nights wherein no matter how I twist and turn, I couldn’t seem to get the right position to sleep. This situation happened to me Monday night. So what exactly I was doing being sleepless for 36 hours?

  1. Made myself an online bookshelf.
  2. Finished a layout I’ll put up in a couple of days.
  3. Wrote a blog script using CodeGrrl’s Build-A-Blog tutorial.
  4. Watched an entire season of Sex and the City.
  5. Put up a very cheesy short story and an article about the factors of a personal site.
  6. Saw very wonderful things on Etsy but I’ll save those for next time.
  7. Helped Josh out (somehow) with some issues.
  8. Had two of my teeth extracted for my soon-to-be braces.

With all those things I did, I thought that I would feel like Superman or something, but no. I just felt tired and sleepy but somehow accomplished. :)

I used to have an online bookshelf, too, powered by mediashelf. shelved.ditz-revolution.net. Opted to take it out cos I neglected updating it. What I liked about it, though, was back then, I was inspired to keep buying new books to add to the list. I remember every pay day, I’d head to the Book Sale in Farmers on my way home after work and buy 4-5 books.

You’re right about the footer being plain. It’s because my footer has no divs. I’m currently seeing if I can add something there.

I used Build A Blog last time, but then I found the ones at DayDreamGraphics much easier. The tutorial isn’t back up there yet though =\

Oh, you have some books that I have XD Unfortunately, I won’t put up an online bookshelf since I’ve about 100 story books & novels at home, plus another hundred from my brother’s book collection >.>

I ever stayed up late for about 48 hours so 36 is nothing :P

I usually sleep pretty good, so I consider myself lucky. But lately I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night, staying up for 30 minutes or more, and then slowly falling back to sleep. =(

It’s amazing how much you can do with the time that you’re sleeping. :P

Yeah, I know what you mean about not being able to fall asleep. That happened to me the other night, but thankfully, I decided to sleep on the other side of the bed last night, so that helped. Hehe.

Woah, an online bookshelf?! Wow, that looks nice! Too bad I don’t read that much now to have an actual bookshelf… Haha…

Ooh, can’t wait to see your new layout!

But wow, a blog script?! Are you serious?! COOL! Hehe.

Woah, you got your teeth extracted?! AND you’re getting braces?! Ok, it seems like I’m missing a lot of things… LOL
