My parents are in New York for a week, so I’m here alone in the house with my six-year old sister, the two maids and my aunt and grandma, who promised to watch over us throughout the week. You’d think that having minimal supervision for a week would be fun, but honestly, it isn’t. I think the most I’ve had so fear is when I had dinner with friends and went home at 9 PM, something that my parents wouldn’t have allowed on a typical case.
One reason as to why I’m probably not having fun is because it’s Holy Week. Most people would go out of town, out of country, whatever, and spend their week there rather than be stuck at home and bored to death (as I). So while the rest are probably enjoying the sun, having some barbeque by the pool, I’m here at home playing Sims for half the day, and then browsing the web for the remaining half.
Another reason is that my friends and I live far apart, the nearest to me being around a 15-minute drive away. My mom isn’t here to drive me to places and some of the family drivers I usually ask to bring me places are busy as well. So while other people are going on roadtrips and having the time of their lives, I’m here at home watching a couple of TV shows I’ve downloaded.
So what am I getting into? Nothing really, I just needed to rant about the shitty week ahead.

I was browsing through my Dreamwidth (I kinda forgot I had one
) when I saw a post posted almost a year ago. It was entitled “TV Shows That I Plan on Watching”. Ten months later, here I am sitting in front of my laptop without an item crossed out from that list.
My summer calendar is fully booked. There are meetings to be attended, documents to be created and a constitution to be amended. However, in most of these days, I am with my friends since they most of them are also a part of the student council. So, my friends and I decided to go on a TV Marathon and Movie Marathon during those not-so-packed days.
We would just bring a DVD/a laptop/whatever to wherever we’re meeting at (usually in the school) and watch whatever we want to watch there. Who said meetings are draggy and boring?
Ten months later, that list has changed. No longer do I plan on watching Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty. I have also lost interest in Harper’s Island and Weed. Here’s a new list of the TV shows I shall download sooner or later:
- One Tree Hill – I regret downloading all 6 seasons over the summer and deleting each one as I finished them. This time around I promise to download everything and save them for future rewatching.
- Skins – I have the first three series in my laptop and I’m halfway through the third. I can’t wait to watch series 4!
- Desperate Housewives – Will I ever get to follow this show?
- House – I have the first three seasons in DVD so I’ll just download the seasons after those.
This are the top priority ones. There are still some that I plan on watching, though need not be done as soon as possible. Let the TV downloading marathon begin!

Geez. Cobwebs have certainly been growing on my blog.
Don’t worry though, I wasn’t in accident nor did I move cross-Atlantic (or other stuff like that). As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I’ve been really busy doing extra-curricular work. The results of the elections were released about a week ago, and most of the party I was working with won.
A week ago, too, they interviewed people for appointee positions and the Student Judiciary Board (SJB). I applied for PRO and SJB Chairperson. The results were released last Thursday, and guess what?
I GOT SJB CHAIRPERSON.
*silence* Oh my god. Oh.my.god. OH.MY.GOD.
The SJB is really the most coveted part of the council; being just accepted as a core member is already a big thing, and I can’t believe I got chairperson!
I wasn’t really expecting it since there were about 20 people who applied to be a part of the SJB, and most of them have really nice credentials attached to their names, so when I got the results, I was really overjoyed and almost on tears.
Last Friday was the turn over ceremony, which basically means that it’s already my term as SJB Chairperson. It hasn’t really sunk in to me yet, though I’m sure that once the work starts, it will. Wish me luck on my new job!
PS: I shall post pictures of the acceptance letter, the formal letter, the turn over gift, etc. on my next post. I’m too lazy to go get my camera.
