The Day I Ripped My Pants In Half

Posted on December 13, 2009 under Blabbings

..was yesterday. Upon entering the dance studio for our two-hour long PE class, I did a toe touch. Seeing that I do this almost every time, I didn’t think it will do any harm. Boy was I wrong. Right as I jumped, I heard a loud, ripping sound that’s different from all the times I ripped my pants while doing a cheerleading move of some sort. Usually, I would create a 1 to 1.5-inch holes, but yesterday, I created a 9, yes, 9-inch hole. :o It was hilarious and I think I lol’ed for about a minute or so until I realized my entire ass is showing and I had a practical test to take. “Oh, God, what will I do? What will I do?” I thought. I rushed to the bathroom with some of my ever reliable friends, panicking.

And then, my friend had the answer: Stapler.

So there I was, spending 3 more hours in school wearing stapled pants.

Has this ever happened to you? If so, what was your reaction? What will you do in a situation like this?

I’ve Been Craving

Posted on November 30, 2009 under Entertainment

…for movies. I don’t really know what to call these kinds of movies but they’re the one where teens, love, laughter, a bit of sex and nice music are involved. I remember watching these kinds of movies when I was 12 or so. I was fascinated by what I saw. It was as if I was staring into a completely different world I couldn’t enter. By the end of the movie, I would have formed my own little fantasies based on the movie I just saw.

In time, I realized that this world did exist, and that everyone can enter it given the right time. I don’t need to fantasize about this world anymore — I was living in it. Nowadays, I watch these movie and no longer am I amazed. Instead, I feel the story. It’s as if I’m actually somewhere in the storyline and I feel whatsoever emotion the scene calls for.

If you guys are still confused as to what movies I’m talking about, I’ll give you some examples:

  • Mean Girls – This movie is a classic. ‘Nuff said.
  • Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist – I just watched this movie last night (I know, I know), and it was love. <3

Hmm…to be honest, those are the only movies that fall under that “genre” that I can think of at the moment.

So, what I’m really getting to is this: can you guys recommend me some movies like these? I’ve been really wanting to watch some lately. Thanks! :D

I’ve Been Living Under A Rock

Posted on November 4, 2009 under Blabbings

One morning, I wake up at 7 o’clock with sound of heavy winds and my window blinds slamming my walls. Seeing that there was no way I could possibly go back to sleep, I go to my bathroom, open the lights and turn on the faucet. But wait…the light doesn’t turn on! I try again. Nope, still no lights. Looks like there’s no electricity due to the storm. I make my way to my desk and open the laptop. Shit. Its battery’s drained. I go back to my room and open the TV. No TV for me today; cable’s busted, undoubtedly, because of the storm. Oh, and did I mention I don’t have my cellphone because it slipped out of my pocket when I was in the theatre the day before? I decided to grab Nights in Rodanthe by Nicolas Sparks and read it once and for all.

After just 4 hours (with my lunchtime included), I finish the novel. The rest of the day, I just lied down on my bed staring at the ceiling in the hopes of electricity coming back soon.

But it doesn’t. At least until the next day. When I woke up that day, I was so happy to realize that we finally have electricity. I immediately charge my laptop and boot it up. However, upon opening Firefox, I was greeted by a “Problem Loading Page” page. What? I did a hard refresh but still garnered the same result. That cannot be. I see the wireless connection icon on my taskbar and it’s looking fine. I ask my mom if there’s anything wrong with the internet and she says that there’s no cable and internet until further notice because of some shit I didn’t even catch anymore.

The rest of the day, I watched One Tree Hill (thank God it’s still on my hard drive) and House (on DVD). I just realized how much our lives (or at least mine) revolves around modern technology and just a day or two without them will drive us nuts. I swear to God that if this happens again, I’m so gonna move into another country. :P
