I was browsing my website to remind myself of the stuff I’ve been writing and maybe take a short trip down memory lane when I noticed that somewhere between April 9 and April 25, there it wasn’t: my lock jaw experience.
So one night, I was watching TV with my sister in my room when I yawned and SNAP! I couldn’t close my mouth. That wasn’t the first time that my jaw locked so I tried putting it back. OWW! It’s eerily way more painful that I remembered. My six-year old sister, seeing me in pain, ran to my mom for help, and my mom seeing in pain, ran to my dad for help. My dad, seeing me in pain, thankfully was smart enough to ask my mom to call my dentist to ask for whatever the solution was to this hell I was experiencing.
She (my dentist) recommended this thing but it was really really painful so my parents decided to drive me to the nearby clinic. Thankfully, they didn’t have a dentist in so they left me with my mouth open as my dad drove to the nearest hospital (thankfully, also one of the best in the country). Thank you so much so-called emergency clinic.
When we arrived the hospital, I got wheeled through the operating room and doctors gave me a shot of Valium and Demerol. Lucky me, I got to live a junkie’s life for a while. I started feeling lightheaded that I really had this urge to stand up and dance, but I couldn’t with the doctor’s two hands in my mouth. I then just sat quietly and thew myself a little party in my head. The doctor gave me yet another shot of Valium.
Then I collapsed.
I woke up, being wheeled to my hospital room, after 6 hours of continuous trying (which I know nothing of. I was high), with a still open mouth. I was going to the operating room the next morning where they’ll give me general anesthesia as they try yet again to close my mouth. I lie down and SNAP! my jaw is back in place.

Living in a world dominated by technology, one of my biggest fears is losing anything that will help me connect to the internet; be it my router, my internet provider, laptop. A couple of weeks ago, I did.
For some stupid reason I don’t even know, the Windows installation on my laptop got corrupted. I was happily browsing one night, when I had to go tend to something so I left it running for a while. Big deal, I do it all the time. I came back after half an hour or so and unplugged the laptop from the charger to bring it to another room. I plugged it back in and started caressing the touchpad. The backlight didn’t turn on, though through the darkness, I could see the outline of a couple of windows I left open. I tried using my keyboard to put it make it go on standby since that’s what I normally do when that happens to me. Nothing. I then opt to restart. And then, it made the horrifying sound.
Long story short, I was laptop-less for a couple of weeks so I indulged in books, telephone and parties. Anyone have something interesting?

Today was turning out to be a pretty typical night for me. I’m sitting in front of my laptop after dinner when I check Tweetdeck and see Mellisa‘s tweet asking who’s participating in the annual CSS Naked Day. I then immediately checked the date to see if it really was April 9 (summer makes you forget what day it is, what more date). It was.
Panic-stricken, as I’ve always made it a point to participate in the CSS Naked Day, I go to my website and check if I still have the handy WordPress plugin which automatically strips your website of stylesheets as April 9 strikes the first time somewhere in the world. Thankfully, it is.
So, to you guys, who’s going naked this year?
