Oh No!
Upon opening Thunderbird today, I was greeted by 269 new messages. I was thinking, “Oh no! Did Gmail failed to filter spam messages?! Not them!!!” (this incident happened to Yahoo Mail which is why I stopped using it). Freezing Firefox, I understand, but letting spam pass through?! That I do not! But then, after Thunderbird downloaded all 269 messages, I saw that some of my really old mail, has been marked as unread. That of course, was a relief. However, there was one spam message on my inbox which made me worry a little bit but I think everything’s been fixed now.
Anyway, has anyone heard of Woopra (Alex, I know you did. I heard it from you
)? It seems pretty impressive and pretty similar to Mint and Reinvigorate and that said, it intimidates me; it makes me want to try it. However, if anyone else has used it and had some problems with it, I definitely won’t be using it.
ETA: In less than 24 hours, I’ve been approved at Woopra! w00t!
I’ve never heard of it. I’ma go check it out now.
June 6th, 2008 at 8:47 pmI signed up a while ago - maybe 2 or 3 months ago, and I just got accepted.
The only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t give me an actual list of who visited that day (and where they went).
Woopra also gives you the ‘live’ thing (just like clicky) so you can who is your site at that exact moment.
There’s a WordPress plug-in for it, so it’s really straight-forward.
I can’t afford mint, and I signed up for Reinvigorate in December, and haven’t been accepted.
You should try it. =)
June 6th, 2008 at 9:08 pmI downloaded the desktop application - and I like it way better than the online version of your stats.
Now that you’ve mentioned it. Yes, I just heard of Woopra.
I’m going to check it out right now.
June 6th, 2008 at 11:56 pm269 messages would freak me out. If I get more than ten at a time I’ll still freak out. xD
June 7th, 2008 at 7:59 amI haven’t heard of it. But sheesh, 269 emails would freak me out too.
June 7th, 2008 at 10:54 amGlad to hear that it wasn’t all new e-mails! I’ve actually had spam in my Gmail account before… It’s pretty much the same as Yahoo, so I don’t really see a difference. Hehe.
Oh cool, that’s nice about Woopra, even though I’ve never heard of that before. Hehe.
June 8th, 2008 at 12:02 amI’ve never heard of Woopra, but it looks pretty cool.
269 messages?! I would have freaked too.
June 8th, 2008 at 1:14 amSpam sucks, I keep getting nasty phishing e-mails from banks I’m not even with.
