Getting Back Into Shape

Seeing that I was still packing a few holiday pounds, I decided to exercise today (and when I say exercise, I mean cheer). I thought “Ok, I think 30 minutes today and this belly will be gone” since it always DID take me 30 minutes worth of cheering to burn just a couple of extra unwanted pounds. I outlined the first routine I was gonna do in my head and immediately get to it. The sooner the better, right?

I finish the first 5-minute routine and I was exhausted. I take a 2-minute break and go to the next 5-minute routine I planned. About halfway into it, I grew tired again so I decided to take another rest. I resume into doing the second 5-minute routine and when I finished it, I couldn’t bear to even think about what I was gonna do next. My arms hurt and my lungs were stinging.

I didn’t even realize that I was so badly out of shape. Last time I exercised (in my context of course) was during the end of November, for this yearly competition we had. After that, I guess I just forgot to get back into it. I was really worried because I used to do these 30-minute cheering thing just for fun, and now I couldn’t even survive through half of it without collapsing. So, to make myself healthy again, I promised to do at least 20-minute exercises everyday, and if I had the time, run the treadmill this weekend.

What about you guys? Do you guys exercise regularly? If so, what’s your schedule and what are the things you do? :D

Haha, I know what you mean about being out of shape. I’m out of shape too. No, I don’t exercise regularly, but hopefully that’ll change by the end of the year… Good luck with your exercise routines!! =)

I seriously have to exercise more often. I used to swim a lot, but I stopped doing that some time ago and I’ve gained quite some pounds because of it. In general I eat healthy, but I should exercise more often to keep a balance in my weight.

Oh gosh, the only exercise I get is running around all day from class to work to internship to my dorm. I really need to get some sort of regular exercise thing going though as it’s really not healthy to not exercise at all… which is what I pretty much do.

Uh-oh. I don’t exercise regularly at all, pft :( I’m in the middle of examinations and after ten hours or so of studying I can’t force myself to do anything anymore, apart from watching tv or dragging myself to the computer :( I really have to start exercising again, because it’s much, much, MUCH easier for me to gain a pound than to lose one. Uh. I bet if I exercised for five minutes, I’d be just as exhausted as you described…Time for exercise!

I haven’t really exercised since mid-December. The longer I don’t exercise the harder it is to get back into it, but… I’m so lazy right now! D:

I guess I’m just waiting for rugby to start (mid-February) to whip me back into shape :P
