Feeding and Loving It

Just yesterday, I was checking how my stats were doing. Everything seems to be fine when I noticed that my subscriber count was way above its count the last time I checked (and by the way, if you’re one of them, thank you :) ). Then, the thought hit me: is subscribing to feeds really that great? I mean, I spend time making sure my feed is accessible to everyone even though I have no knowledge on how it is being utilized whatsoever by the subscribers. As a result of that thought, I decided to give feed subscribing a try.

First, I signed up for NewsGator’s online feed reader service and I subscribed to some of the blogs that I usually visit and lurk. I played around with it for a couple of minutes and then, without noticing it, I was suddenly hooked. Now, I already started adding all of the blogs that I either visit or lurk. Bottom line is: I’m feeding and loving it.

How about you guys? Do you subscribe to your favorite blogs? If yes, what feed reader do you use?

I subscribe to a few blogs and I check my feeds like, hourly. I use Google Reader, it’s my favoite. <3

I haven’t checked my count lately but I’m sure it’s really low. LOL

Wow, congratulations on the high stats! =) LOL, too bad there’s no way for me to know how many subscribers I have, since I don’t offer RSS. LOL.

But yeah, I’m glad you love reading the feeds instead! Ehh, I’m ok with going to the site… Hehe…

I actually don’t use feeds. I just keep a “links” page on my site and visit all my favorite blogs manually.

For so long I used to do what Britney does (checking my favorite blogs via my links page) … but then my list got too long, so now I subscribe to feeds instead. It is *so* much easier, I must say!

Having said that, I don’t actually read entries in my feed reader – I skim through them and if they sound like something I want to read, I always click through to read it on the web page. There is just something about reading an entry on it’s own page (with it’s design) that appeals to me.

    I use google reader. :)

I just have my favourite links on Delicious and on my Firefox toolbar. The only thing I subscribe to is the most popular videos on YouTube! *hangs head in shame*

I use Firefox Live Bookmarks for my feeds. They reside in a folder on my bookmarks toolbar of the browser.

I better be one of the ones you have in your reader. :P

I personally use Google Reader and wouldn’t switch it for the world. I don’t only subscribe to blogs, but a million other things as well (news services, etc.)…to keep up with all those takes more effort than I have!
