David vs David
I’ve been such a fan of American Idol since it started. I remember every season and who my bet was for each season, but let’s not get into that (I’ll reserve it later on, when writer’s block visits me). I’m sure all of you know that yesterday, Syesha was dropped from the competition, thus, making the finale a battle of the Davids.
I like both Davids, but I first started to like David Archuleta. I was startstruck by him since Hell Week, when he sang Heaven (Bryan Adams). His voice was sweet and calming to my ears, and I’m sure to many other’s as wel. I also liked it when he sang Imagine during the first week that they paid tribute to The Beatles (they did it twice). However, in the midst of the competition, I noticed that he is becoming monotonous. He may sing different songs of different genres but the technique and the energy remains the same so I grew tired of him and grew fond of Brooke White, but that’s a different story.
When Archuleta became monotonous for me, and Brooke was slipping, David Cook mesmerized me when he sang Always Be My Baby (Mariah Carey). I suddenly fell in love with him and ever since, I’ve been a David Cook fan. If ever you’re wondering why I didn’t like him at first, since he was already good back then, it’s because I found him a bit too heavy for me.
To sum it all up, who do you think will be the next American Idol, and why? Feel free to share stories too.

LOL, I haven’t watched AI since season… 3, I believe… LOL.

Hehe, yeah, I did see the Always be my baby song, and I liked that too.
But yeah, I don’t watch AI, so I don’t know who’s going to be the next AI. Haha.

My faves were Brooke and Jason and I lost interest when they were eliminated. I have a feeling it’s going to be Cook (well, I guess I’m hoping) cos Archuleta is kinda boring.

At the beginning, my favourite was Michael Johns, then when he got eliminated, it was David Cook. I loved his version of Music of the Night!
I don’t watch American Idol and I haven’t since Season 2. It’s become nothing but a joke anymore.
