I’m Easily Dazzled

Thursday afternoon, that was when the auditions for Grease took place. A guy who graduated a year ago (and is incredibly hot) enters the room calling one by one those who will audition.

Him: Is Enzo (insert my last name) here?
Me: I…I…I…I…
Him: If you don’t want to audition I could just cross your name out.
Me: *nods like a retard*

Fashion Icons and Iconic Looks

Posted on June 20, 2008 8:53 pm

Every now and then, someone throws a costume party with a specific theme. Just recently, my cousin got invited into one and she turned to me for advice. The theme: fashion icons/iconic looks. Upon hearing that, I was thankful that the host (whoever he/she may be) didn’t go for those themes which require you to buy a specific outift for that party alone or the ones which have such slim choices in terms of costume. I began traveling back in time (completely in my mind of course) to remember the fashion icons and the iconic looks that each one made, well, iconic. As I progressed, I though, hey, why not blog about it? And so I did.

  1. Audrey Hepburn - there’s nothing I find more elegant than a black dress and a string of pearls. And of course, there’s no one else to thank but Audrey Hepburn for making this look timeless.
  2. Grace Kelly - I love how she looks very regal with just wearing simple clothes despite her typical blonde look.
  3. Marilyn Monroe - the sexy and seductive Marilyn Monroe could never be left out of the list! The pouty red lips? HOT.
  4. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis - once I hear the word feminine, a picture of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is the first thing that pops in my mind.
  5. Imelda Marcos - throughout the decades that President Ferdinand Marcos was president/dictator, you could always see his loyal spouse trailing behind him in a terno (usually candy-colored), paired with one of her shoes (also candy-colored; from her world renown shoe collection).

I have more in my list so keep your eyes out. :)

PS: Once I get something interesting enough not to be in a list, I promise I’ll blog about it.
