Camera Recommendations
My dad owns a brilliant Nikon D80 and he’s generous enough to let me borrow it from time to time. However, amazing as it is, I find it too heavy and bulky for casual usage so I decided to get myself a Point & Shoot camera. Currently, I’m leaning towards getting a Nikon Coolpix P4 (picture below).

However, I’m quite unsure if I should buy this or not, so I am asking you for any recommendations. Do you think I should go with Nikon P4? If not, what camera do you think I should get?
Added: It would be better if you give me the model name of the camera you suggest.
I’ve been seeing that camera being advertised every where, and people asking others if it’s a good camera or not. To tell you the truth, I’m not sure what you should get since I don’t even own a digital camera, still… But my sister loves the Sony Cybershot, the one that zooms up to 15x. LOL, yeah, I don’t want a big camera for everyday use either, BUT… I LOVE the Cybershot because it zooms in well, and it has really good picture quality. Hmm, maybe you can get a smaller camera for everyday use, and one of those big ones for special occasions or whatever? But yeah, good luck deciding on what you want to go with!

May 27th, 2008 at 1:34 pmWell, I think it should be alright, depending on how you take care of your camera and such. Still, I prefer Canon
I’d actually prefer a Canon if you want to get a point and shoot camera. Nikon is usually good as DSLRS mostly
Good luck with getting that new cam!

May 27th, 2008 at 7:40 pmI own a Canon PowerShot. <3 It’s awesome for a point and shoot.
May 27th, 2008 at 9:13 pmMy dad has a Canon Powershot A720 (like you, I borrow his from.. time to time xD) which is brilliant both outside and inside as long as the main light source is natural. It’s no good after dark. =/ (at least, it isn’t in my room. o.o) It has 6x optical zoom, with 8 megapixels. I’m not sure if that’s amazing or what, but it’s miles better than my old Goodmans G-Shot 3 megapixel crappy thing. =P
May 28th, 2008 at 6:52 amI have a Sony Cybershot and I’ve had a Nikon Coolpix and a Canon Powershot. I LOVE CANON. So I recommend a Canon, really.

I have a Sony Cybershot and I would recommend it one thousand times over. It is amazing and the pictures are crystal clear. I adore my camera. I have a pink one
it’s perfect and the price is reasonable. I have never been disappointed with one Cybershot.
