12 of 12: January
I recently found out about the 12 of 12 Project. If ever you’ve heard of the 365 Project, this is somewhat similar. Basically, you have to take 12 photos every 12th day of each month. I originally planned to do a 365, but who am I kidding? With my busy schedule whatnot, I barely have time to conceptualize a picture for the day, so I thought that this would be a very nice compromise. Anyway, without further ado, here are the first set of my 12 of 12.
The Lives of the People
This was used by our ancestors to get the edible grain from rice. It now serves as one of the interior decoration of our house.
On The Shy Corner
As I was looking around the house for stuff to photograph, and I saw this resting on the wall in a corner. I totally forgot about this painting and I think it deserves a bit more attention so I decided to photograph it and use it as one of my images for today.
I Want My Granola Now
My favorite snack EVER. “Nuff said.
My Sister
While I was taking photos for this month’s 12 of 12, my sister kept watching me and followed my every move. I decided to take her picture to get her out of the way.
Young Minds
This is her yet again, now playing on the laptop.
The Shy Mother
I don’t really know why I named this as such, but this is a wood sculpture on diplay on our coffee table and I just found it so interesting.
The Lives of the People (Up Close)
This is the same object as the first photo, except this time, it’s up close. I was only supposed to use one of them, but ended up liking both.

Bamboo Prisoner
This is a chair made out of those bamboo rods you see. I love that chair because it adds so much life to our living room.
Today
This is today’s newspaper.
Polka, Polka
I love the pattern of my boxers today!
Fashion Fades
Ironic to the title, I love love love this magazine!
The Happy Couple
My dad bought these in Shanghai back when I was a little boy. I always loved looking at them.
That’s it for this month’s 12 of 12. I hope I didn’t bust any of your connection out there by posting loads of pictures!

Your pictures are fantastic!! You have a great eye for color & composition. I especially like the “Shy Mother” – she looks like she is floating on the table.
Thanks for sharing.

P.S. I thought about the Project 365, too… Nope. Couldn’t do it, takes too much time.

Welcome to 12 of 12! Hope you enjoyed it and do it again, you got some great photos – I love the one of your sister on the laptop, and the little mother on the coffee table. Great ideas and compositions.
Sorry I’m late – crazy week! (all day work event on 13th, working and packing on 14th, moving flats on 15th, cleaning and unpacking on 16th…). I meant to put a note on my 12 of 12 so anyone visiting would know they’ll get a comment just very late, but forgot!
